Little Rock Central erased a third quarter deficit by hitting 13-of-14 free throw attempts in the final five minutes to secure a 52-38 win over the Southside Lady Mavericks.

Central’s Lauryn Pendleton was 8-for-8 from the line and finished with 10 of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter.

The Mavericks trailed 20-16 at the half and took a 26-22 lead with 3:18 to play in third quarter. Southside held a 33-31 lead after three quarters.

Lillian Jackson scored eight of her 12 points in the final quarter for the Lady Tigers (7-15, 3-10).

Shielo Laranjo led the Mavericks (0-25, 0-13) with 11 points. Ari Rice and Essynce Norwood added nine and eight, respectively.

Southside will close out the regular season Friday against Northside.

BOYS — Karter Allen and Corey Camper scored 14 points apiece Tuesday to help Little Rock Central fend off Southside, 74-55.

The Mavericks wrap up the regular season Friday against Northside.

Mykale Franks had a game-high 22 points in his home finale.
