The Harrison Lady Goblins ran into a juggernaut in the finals of the Lendel Thomas Classic on Friday night.

Little Rock Central claimed the senior girls title with a 59-38 win over Harrison.

The Lady Goblins got off to a good start with the opening score of the game coming on a 3 from Briley Due.

Less than a minute later, Brylie Parker added a trey and Harrison had a 6-2 lead.

After two baskets from Central tied the game, Due scored on a driving layup along the baseline to give Harrison a two-point lead.

Central would then score the next seven points to pull ahead to a 13-8 advantage.

Harrison hung tough as Alicia Auman scored for the Lady Goblins and McKenzie Glenn hit a triple to knot the game at 13-13 with 8:40 to play in the first half.

Maddie Wyatt answered a pair of Central free throws with an offensive putback to tie the game one last time at 15-15.

Central then scored the next eight points before Due would hit a free throw for a 23-16 Central lead.

The Lady Goblins would fall behind, 30-16, before a jumper from Parker ended the Harrison cold spell.

Central held a 32-18 lead at the half.

Harrison climbed back into the ballgame early in the second half.

The Lady Goblins got a 9-3 run to begin the half.

Due hit a technical free throw before Auman sank a jumpshot.

A pair of inside baskets from Due sandwiched a jumper by Peri Knight as the Lady Goblins pulled within 35-27.

That was as close as Harrison would get as Central made a run to push its lead to 47-29 just 5 minutes later.

Due finished the game with 11 points for the Lady Goblins. Parker added 10, Auman eight, Knight four, Glenn three and Wyatt two.
